Bespoke Media Wall & Built-In Shelving Installation
Custom media wall installation with built-in shelving, integrated electric fire and TV recess, completed with plastering by JPH Plastering.
SP Joinery Solutions LTD recently completed this bespoke media wall installation, creating a stylish focal point for the living room with integrated shelving, a recessed television space and a modern electric fire.
The project transformed a plain wall into a functional feature wall that combines storage, display space and entertainment in one clean design.
The Brief
The aim was to build a modern media wall that would house the television and electric fire while also incorporating built-in shelving for storage and decorative items.
The design needed to feel balanced within the room while keeping all wiring and fixtures neatly concealed behind the structure.
Key priorities included:
- Creating a recessed space for the television
- Installing a modern electric fire beneath the TV
- Building symmetrical shelving units on either side
- Achieving a smooth plastered finish ready for decorating
Media Wall Construction
The media wall was built using a timber frame structure, allowing space for wiring, appliances and the electric fire. Bespoke shelving units were then installed on both sides of the wall to create a balanced and practical layout.
Works included:
- Building the structural framework for the media wall
- Creating a recessed TV section
- Installing shelving units and lower storage cupboards
- Installing space for the electric fire unit
- Preparing the wall for plastering and finishing
Plastering & Finishing
To complete the project, JPH Plastering carried out the plastering work to achieve a smooth, professional finish ready for decoration.
The final result is a clean, contemporary media wall that integrates entertainment, storage and display space in one striking feature.
