En-Suite Bathroom Renovation in Esholt — New Shower Enclosure & Joinery Works

SP Joinery Solutions LTD recently completed a stylish en-suite bathroom renovation for a family in Esholt, a historic village famously known as the home of Emmerdale. The project involved stripping out the old shower enclosure, addressing underlying issues caused by a leaking tray, and rebuilding the space with a modern finish and improved layout.

The Challenges

The existing shower had been leaking for some time, causing damp to penetrate the lathe-and-plaster walls. To resolve this safely and structurally, we removed the damaged material and constructed a new purpose-built stud wall to support the new enclosure. The bathroom also featured an uneven floor, which required careful levelling and adjustment to ensure a perfect, watertight installation.

Once the preparation was complete, we installed a sleek, modern shower enclosure with matt black fittings, clean contemporary tiling, and updated flooring. The new design maximises the available space and brings a fresh, modern feel to the en-suite while maintaining the charm of a property over 100 years old.
