Floor Prep for LVT Installation

Not every job is about the glamorous final finish — sometimes it’s the groundwork that makes all the difference.

This project was all about preparing a tired subfloor ready for a new LVT (luxury vinyl tile) installation. We carried out ply boarding and applied a smooth screed across the base to create the perfect level surface for the flooring team.

The prep stage is essential for long-lasting results: it ensures the LVT sits evenly, prevents movement, and gives that professional look once the final floor covering is laid.

It’s a reminder that great joinery isn’t just about what you see — it’s about the hidden work underneath that guarantees quality.
